Azimuth Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Azimuth. By using the Azimuth app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Description of Service

Azimuth is an iOS application that:

• captures your device's location,
• and sends it to an HTTPS endpoint that you configure, on a schedule that you choose.

Azimuth does not operate any server. All requests go to a destination URL you provide.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Azimuth. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Endpoint

You are solely responsible for:

• the URL you configure as the destination,
• the operation, security, and privacy practices of that endpoint,
• any bearer token or credential you supply,
• any costs, throughput limits, or terms imposed by that endpoint's operator.

Azimuth has no relationship with the operators of endpoints you choose.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use Azimuth in violation of any law, including laws regarding location tracking and surveillance,
• use Azimuth to transmit anyone else's location without their informed consent,
• configure Azimuth to send data to an endpoint you do not own or have permission to use,
• attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the app's operation.

5. Location Data

Azimuth requires location permission to function. Granting "Always" location authorization allows Azimuth to send updates while the app is in the background. You can revoke this permission at any time via iOS Settings, and you can disable tracking at any time within the app.

6. Background Behavior

iOS controls when background tasks run. Azimuth makes a best effort to send on the schedule you choose, but exact delivery times are not guaranteed. Sends may be delayed when the device is stationary, offline, or in Low Power Mode, and may be paused if you force-quit the app from the iOS app switcher.

7. Availability

Azimuth may temporarily be unavailable due to operating system updates, app updates, or service interruptions. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Privacy

Your use of Azimuth is also subject to the Azimuth Privacy Policy, which explains what information is captured, where it is sent, and how it is stored on your device.

9. Intellectual Property

The Azimuth app, including its design, software, branding, and related materials, is owned by Azimuth or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app itself.

10. Disclaimer

Azimuth is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Azimuth disclaims warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You assume all risk associated with the endpoint you configure and the data you transmit.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Azimuth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, or business arising from your use of the app.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Azimuth if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of Azimuth after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
