Privacy Policy for Momento
Momento respects your privacy.
Momento is an iOS app that allows users to upload short video clips, rearrange them, and stitch them into a single video. To provide this service, Momento processes and stores limited user data necessary for account access and video creation.
Information We Collect
- Account information used for sign-in through Apple Sign-In.
- User-generated content, including uploaded video clips, generated thumbnails, and stitched videos.
- Project-related data, such as project titles, clip order, processing status, and output settings.
- Authentication tokens/session data required to keep users signed in securely.
How We Use Information We use this information only to:
- authenticate users,
- upload and store clips,
- process clips and generate thumbnails,
- stitch videos in the order selected by the user,
- allow users to view, download, and save their finished videos,
- maintain app functionality and basic service operations.
Storage and Processing Momento uses:
- Supabase for authentication and app database functions,
- AWS S3 for private storage of uploaded and processed video files,
- a backend service to process media and generate time-limited access URLs for users’ files.
Uploaded videos, processed clips, thumbnails, and stitched videos are stored in private storage and are intended to be accessible only to the authenticated user. Access to backend endpoints requires a valid authenticated token, and media files are served through time-limited presigned URLs.
Sharing of Information Momento does not sell personal information. We only share data with service providers as needed to operate the app, such as authentication, database, hosting, and secure file storage providers.
User Control Users can delete clips and projects from the app. When deleted, the associated stored media files and related database records are deleted as part of the app workflow.
Data Retention Momento retains account and media data only as needed to provide app functionality, until the user deletes that content or account data is otherwise removed from the service. This statement is a reasonable summary of the current documented behavior; your files explicitly describe deletion behavior for clips and projects, but do not define a full retention schedule.
Children’s Privacy Momento is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
